Review

Subbu (Allari Naresh) is a software engineer. He leads happy life. One day he attends a party and he wakes up in the morning finding himself in bed with a girl named Sanjana (Ritu Barmecha). That girl has three gangster brothers (Srihari, Subbaraju and Samrat) and they fix Subbu's wedding with their sister Sanjana. Trouble is that Subbu already has a girlfriend (Anita) and he doesn't want to marry Sanjana. But does he have guts to say no to these gangster brothers?

Analysis

Aha Naa Pellanta is maiden directorial venture of Veerabhadram who assisted several directors like Krishnavamsi, Teja, etc. Taking basic plot line and several of scenes from Korean comedy movie, Marrying The Mafia (2002), the debutant director has tried to inject entertainment that is regularly associated with hero Allari Naresh. Like director Srinu Vytla, Veerabhadram creates some hilarious moments (drunken scene, etc) with Brahmanandam and Srihari to sustain the audience's interest.

Though the film has anything original, the director has used Brahmanandam and Srihari to the fullest to bring out comedy. His spoof on famous lift scene of Mahesh Babu Pokiri with Brahmanandam has worked out so well. Such scenes and Allari Naresh's trademark acting makes the film worth a watch.

Performances
The role that Allari Naresh has played is in very much his domain. So he does it with convincing manner. But film completely hinges on the talents of Srihari and Brahmandam - who once again deliver with full marks. Ramesh in a drunkard role once again entertains. Newcomer Ritu has good looks. Anita in a small role is okay. Subbaraju, Samrat, M S Narayana and others have not much to do but they do justice to their roles.

On technical front, music director Kunch Raghu's work is good. Camera work is pretty average and so are other technical departments.

Debutant director Virabhadram passes the test in his first film. Story and scenes are copied from several films but he has provided entertainment, so that is his success.

Aha Naa Pellanta is a time-pass flick. Don't look for any original jokes or ideas but it provides some good hilarious moments thanks to Srihari and Brahmanandam in the second half.

A comedy tale, the story begins with Subramaniam aka Subbu (naresh) who is an intelligent and kind hearted software professional. One night, he goes to the party arranged by his boss Balaraju (brahmi) and is forced to drink. He wakes up the next morning to see a beautiful Sanjana (ritu) in bed with him. He begins to think that something has gone wrong between them in the night. Meanwhile, Sanjana's brothers (srihari, subbaraju, samrat) enter the scene and they force Subbu to get engaged to Sanjana. Apparently, the three brothers and their father J J (nagineedu) are the most feared people in the state. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.Readmore

Aha Naa Pellanta' of Dr Rajendra Prasad released way back in 1987 was a non-stop entertainer. Kota Srinivasa Rao outsmarted the Nata Kireeti with his performance as a miser. When a film coming with the same title, the audiences to have high expectations on the film and worried whether the latest film of Allari Naresh, who stepped into the shoes of the senior artiste and settled as a comedy hero would live up to those expectations. But the debutant director Veerabhadram, who was protg of EVV Satyanarayana gave a perfect tribute to his mentor and brought out the film like a laugh riot. The film was quite hilarious for all the two hours of its run as the director filled comedy in each and every scene from start to finish.Readmore

Allari Naresh has perfected the art of carrying comedy roles with elan. He has good timing and a distinct dialogue delivery style, which has lot of takers among the fans. Most of his films, however, end up being timepass flicks with lot of logical as well as illogical comedy sequences enacted by many established comedy artists.Readmore
